Born in 1944. Mr. Özyeğin graduated from Robert Academy in 1963. Also, Mr. Özyeğin holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. He was the General Manager of Pamukbank during 1977-1984 and General Manager and CEO of Yapı ve Kredi Bank during 1984-1987. Mr. Özyeğin founded Finansbank in 1987 and served as the Founder and Chairman of Finansbank A.Ş. between 1987 – 2010.

Guided by the principle that “the most valuable investment is the investment in people,” Mr. Özyeğin is deeply committed to social responsibility and the development of Turkiye. He was recognized with the Turkish Grand National Assembly Distinguished Service Award in 2007. Acknowledging education as a critical priority, Mr. Özyeğin has supported the construction of 53 schools and dormitories in 27 Turkish provinces. Through institutions such as the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation, Özyeğin University, and the Mother Child Education Foundation, his educational and social initiatives have positively impacted over 1.5 million children, young adults, and parents.

Mr. Hüsnü Özyeğin presently serves as the Founding and Honorary Chairman of Fiba Group, Chairman of the Board of Fibabanka A.Ş., and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Özyeğin University.
