Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation mobilizes all its resources to understand and support the immediate and medium-term needs of rural communities whose lives are deeply affected after natural disasters such as fires, earthquakes, floods, and mass-impact disasters.

Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation Was in Soma Villages After the Mine Disaster

Soma and Kınık districts and their affiliated villages were visited to observe rural development projects that could be implemented in the settlements of the miners, especially the families of the miners who lost their lives in the mine disaster in Soma District, and meetings were held with the mayor, the district director of agriculture, the headmen and the local people.

Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation Was in the Villages After the Van Earthquake

After the tragic earthquake in Van on October 23, 2011, the Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation went to dozens of villages affected by the earthquake and delivered thousands of aid packages consisting of blankets, catalytic stoves, food, hygiene kits, diapers and sanitary napkins to the earthquake victims. In addition, it ensured that the aid collected with the organization of Fiba Holding employees and volunteers reached those in need.

Özyeğin Foundation Stood by Forest Villagers in Major Fires

Immediately after the Marmaris and Manavgat 2021 fires, the Foundation's experts went to the field and supported the villagers and producers whose livelihoods were damaged in the fires. In this context, with the guidance and cooperation of the Manavgat District Governorship, 500 thousand meters of main line and drip irrigation pipes that became unusable in the fire were purchased, and 200 tent shelters were allocated to be used as animal shelters after the barns burned down.

A mobile bee hive shocking and sterilization vehicle was purchased for beekeepers whose bee hives were damaged in Marmaris and offered to the use of breeders.
