Girls Are Getting Empowered Training Program
Girls Are Getting Empowered Project (Life Skills Training Program for Girls) was developed with experts in the field as a modular and flexible training program aimed at the psychological and social empowerment of girls living in secondary education dormitories for girls. The program’s target group is girls staying in these dormitories. The program was implemented by the teachers who work in the dormitories constructed by the Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation and who participated in and gained the certificate of the “Training of Trainer” seminar organized by the Foundation. Between 2010 and 2018, nearly 6,000 students benefited from the program.
Özyeğin University Summer Camp For High School Students
Within the scope of the project, students from high schools and the dormitories constructed by the Hüsnü Özyeğin Foundation have attended the “Summer Camp for High School” program organized by Özyeğin University on scholarships for four summers since 2016. The students had experiences of campus life in Istanbul before university by attending academic lessons and social activities they chose for two weeks.
Empowering Together Training Program
Since 2021, the project has continued under the name Empowering Together Training Program, in cooperation with the Koza Platform. The program offers content tailored to the students’ needs, from psychosocial development training to digital literacy. With support from stakeholders such as Özyeğin University and Fiba Group, the program has reached nearly 650 students in four years.
